Upcoming series

“Are the words  “rest”, “needing contentment”, or “I just need Jesus”, resonating with you?  They certainly do to me.  I heard one professor say “I think most people are running on about 40%”.  Sounds about right.  Soon to come will be a series that I believe will address discontentment, lack of rest or other revelations you may need by simply by drawing nearer to Jesus.  Jesus Himself said “I stand at the door and knock, if anyone chooses to open the door, I will come in and be with him, and he with me.”  Revelations 3:20.  Jesus also said an almost too simple statement “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  Matthew 11:28.  Simple to understand?  Yes. Simple to do?  Not at all.  Because we’re human and we lose direction, tools, and there’s just so much distraction.

About 10 years ago, I met Wayne Cordeiro, founding Pastor of New Hope Oahu.  Ever since, I’ve loved Wayne’s teaching and demeanor.  We will going though Wayne’s book; “Jesus, pure and simple”.  I’ll be preaching on one theme from one chapter a week.  This book is inspiring, and holds such great tools that support God’s word.  I look forward to sharing and I’m sure you’ll be inspired as well.   Stay tuned for our beginning date for our new series “Jesus”.   Pastor Jim
